SW-700 Module

The SW-700 Module is a 5 port switcher with speed auto negotiation to support 10 Base T or 100 Base TX High Speed Ethernet data transmission. The SW-700 is a perfect fit for the Smar LC700 and DFI control system. However it can also be used in other panel applications where efficient networking path is desired.

It can be powered directly from the Rack (in LC700 and DFI systems) or with an external 24Vdc (10 – 36Vdc). If both power sources are present, the SW-700 will take advantage of the embedded redundancy power circuit. User can set the preferred power source to operate and in the case of a failure the SW-700 will automatically switch to the other available power supply.

CPU-700D3 and CPU-700D3R

Now the LC700 Hybrid Controller is more powerful, more dependable, and more easy to use than ever before. New release of the LC700 processor module, the CPU-700D3 and CPU-700D3R added many new features for the system.
The hardware is more resistant to EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). The CPU can handle more I/O points and larger configurations. The Modules have 2 new important features; the Self-ID and the Hot-Swap. The Self-ID means that Modules are automatically identifiable by the CPU and configuration tool (CONF700v7 or higher), while “Hot-Swap” means that you can replace modules while the circuit is on without causing any damage to the electronic components. However, process sensitivity for these changes must be analyzed by the user.

Automatic or Manual MODBUS address generation. User can control and assign the address for the MODBUS variables. All new features are supported by the new free CONF700 v7 Windows ™ configurator. New function-block for leak detection (based on API 11.1) and also a status function-block to take advantage of the self-diagnosis feature.

Connectivity to Modems received the addition RTS/CTS control signals.

The OPC Server is faster and includes a built-in channel redundancy (unique in the market!). The OPC Server also publishes some important status. With these status the HMI has visibility on what is going on with communication ports and redundancy.

    Physical Features
  • New CPU Module allows handling more I/O points and program networks.
  • Plug-and-Play. Modules with Self-ID allows the CONF700 and the scan firmware to know if they are accessing the right Modules and how to proceed.
  • Firmware is upgradable in the field through the Serial or Ethernet channels.
Hot-swap boards. Modules can be replaced while system is running.
  • Modules with internal metal ink for better EMI protection.
  • Side metal sheet on Modules for better protection against magnetic interference and ESD.

    Functionality
  • Editing a configuration will not change old variable MODBUS addresses.
  • Automatic or manual MODBUS address allocation option.
  • CONF700 identifies Modules automatically when working online. Self ID.
User can fine tune “Time Delay” and “Off-duty width” to optimize communication with HMI. Typically used in large configurations where the scan cycle is larger than 300ms.
  • Port 1 (RS-232) includes RTS/CTS functionality. These control signals increase connectivity with Modems/Radios.
  • Function Block with Module and communication channels Status.
Math Function Block has extra equations; the API 11.1 and exponential filter.
  • Dedicated MODBUS registers for user action as adjusting the Real-Time-Clock.
  • View Block, a communication feature that allows customizing a list of the most used variables.

OPC Server

  • Channel redundancy. Ethernet, Serial Port or any combination.
  • Published status and action variables. HMI knows which port is communicating, status of the redundant channel, actual scan time and much more.
  • Serial port uses RTS and CTS for better Modem/Radio connectivity.
  • Easier user interface and faster.

CONF700v7

This version was developed to support the new CPU-700D3/D3R innovative features.

  • Automatically identifies Modules in a LC700 system that have the Self-ID feature implemented.
  • New interface to edit the Ladder Logic.
  • Supports English, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish and Chinese language.
  • Search/Replace feature. Improved Move Ladder area for editing.
  • User note can be added at each row of the Ladder diagram.
  • Undo during Ladder network editing.
  • Online Tag Monitoring for debugging. Support use of View Block for fast access.
