This
new CPU Module brings many new capabilities to the successful
SMAR LC700 Hybrid Controller. Read the lines below and understand
why the SMAR CPU-700E3 is being considered as a break-through
for a control industry device.
The
CPU-700E3 comes to cover the necessity of larger configurations,
handles a complete online editing, has more discrete I/O points
available and the user can optimize the communication variable
list for faster variable scanning with a HMI (human-machine interface)
operating software. All this plus the revolutionary "Instant
Recovery" feature that allows a fast return to the last
working configuration.

Larger
Configurations
Programming
(configuration) memory increased from 30K to 52Kbytes*. This
memory increase allows applications with a significant leap on
the number of Ladder Networks supporting Relay, Coils and Function
Blocks.
The
number of discrete I/O points jumps from 1024 to 2000. Any combination
between physical and virtual points. Larger and more complex
configurations can now be accommodated, in this new version.
*
The memory available for configuration is 46Kbytes when using
the redundancy feature of the CPU-700E3R.

Complete
Online Editing
This
is really a win-win feature. Users can change anything in the
LC700 configuration ONLINE and send to the device without resetting
the current control.
This
feature brings a tremendous peace of mind for the plant start-up
or in the "debugging" process.
The
LC700 Online Editing capability is really broad. The user can
edit Relays, Coils, Function Blocks, add/remove logic networks
and even I/O Modules.
For
instance, a couple of new control loops and interlocks can be
added to the configuration without harming the already existing
ones.

Faster
Communication Response
New
features have been added to increase the communication network
through-out. The CPU-700E3 treats pending request from all the
communication ports (P1, P2 and P3) in the same control cycle.
This new characteristic improves the response time when more
than one port is used.
Another
break-through is the Modbus Cross Table (MCT) technology. It
allows alignment in sequence for the most used variables to be
integrated in the transactions with a HMI system. In this way,
variables are seen as an easily accessible group and Modbus drivers
can access them using less amounts of commands.

Tracking
Changes
The
Configurator (CONF700 v8) keeps a mark on every change in the
Logic Ladder Network and in the I/O Module Table.
|
Instant
Recovery
Lets
suppose that right after sending modifications Online we notice
instability or any malfunction in the process. This is a typical
situation of panic that can now be avoided with this exclusive
feature. With a simple command from the Configurator we can revert
the configuration to the old one and rethink our modifications
to try again!

CPU-700E3R
(Redundancy)
This
is the version that supports the work in redundancy mode. It has
all the same features of its parent CPU-700E3 with the exception
of the configuration memory which is of the 46Kb instead of 52Kbytes.
